Instructions for adding DLD to your WebCT Course
Two WebCT tools need to be added to the WebCT site for a course for DLD recordings to become automatically available to students enrolled in the course.
The first tool points to the DLD configuration script that allows the designer to choose whether recordings are to be available in mp3 format for download, in addition to the normal streaming real format. THIS TOOL SHOULD REMAIN HIDDEN FROM STUDENT VIEW.
Add Page or Tool > Single Page
Add Single Page
1. Enter a title for this item: DLD Config
2. Enter the information for the Single Page.
Page filename: /wct_files/ANU_Files/DLD/audioPageAdmin.php
Or Browse to WebCT-Files ANU_Files/DLD/audioPageAdmin.php
Open in: Same browser window << check
3. Decide where to show the link to this item.
On the Course Menu, visible on all pages. << check
On an Organizer Page: <<check
Link shows item title << check
Link shows icon (select below) << check if you want an icon
Use default icon << check the icon can be changed if necessary but students won't see it.
Use custom icon << not checked (but see above)
4. Add this item to your course. << Click ADD button
Notes: you need to hide the DLD Config icon on the Homepage from student view.
If you also added the DLD Config link to the Course menu in step 3) above, then you should also hide it there: Course Settings > Edit Course Menu.
The second tool points to the script that creates the list of DLD recordings. STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE THIS TOOL, BUT IT MAY BE HIDDEN OR SELECTIVELY RELEASED AT ANY TIME BY THE DESIGNER TO CONTROL STUDENT ACCESS..

Choose icon /wct_files/icons/webct_photo_trans/audio.gif
4. Add this item to your course. << Click ADD button
